• Overall telephony base reaches 654 Mn taking overall teledensity upto 55%
• 16.3 Mn wireless additions during the month taking the overall wireless base to 618 Mn
• Service provider-wise share of incremental wireless additions in May (top 5): Bharti Airtel (3 Mn), Reliance (2.8 Mn), Vodafone (2.6 Mn), Tata (2.3 Mn), Aircel (1.6 Mn)
• Service provider-wise market share end May (top 5): Bharti Airtel (22%, 134 Mn), Reliance (17%, 108 Mn), Vodafone (17%, 106 Mn),  BSNL (12%, 72 Mn), Tata (11%, 70 Mn)
• Wireleine base continued to decline and was at 36 Mn 
• Broadband (> 256 kbps) subscriber base inched up from 9 to 9.24 Mn
